Confusion Surrounding the Australian Skilled Migrant Visa

There is much confusion surrounding the Australian Skilled Migrant Visa application and what the requirements are. As a qualified professional or tradesperson with relevant work experience, you may be eligible to apply for a skilled migrant visa. The application process is often arduous and puzzling for an individual to take on by themself, this is why a registered migration agent is needed, to take you through the process step by step, answer your questions, and use their contacts to expedite the process.

Migrate 2 Oz has the experience, knowledge and contacts to assist you in launching a successful skilled immigration visa application. We have decided to clear up the common confusions many people have when they decide to move to Australia.

Firstly, to qualify for a skilled migrant visa, your nominated occupation has to be on Australia’s Combined Skilled Migrant List (CSOL). The CSOL is a comprehensive list of all the career fields that are experiencing a shortage of skills and labour and thus need to be supplemented by foreign migrants. You will also need the necessary qualification and experience to be able to choose a nominated field on the skilled occupation list.

Most applicants will be required to write an IELTS exam. The IELTS is the international English language testing system, testing your ability in the English language. This test is compulsory and you will have to get above a certain score in order for your visa application to be approved.

You will also need to undergo medical tests. Coming from Africa, you will have to go for a tuberculosis chest X-Ray. You should not undergo a medical examination until you are officially requested to do so, this forms part of the application process and the examination will have to be done by a panel physician.

As a registered migration agency, Migrate 2 Oz can assist you in every step of the process and advise you on the requirements. Talk to us for your free assessment for an Australian Skilled Migrant Visa.
